Mother of Lee, Samantha, Carly, and Grandmother to Kelsey, Callum, Rocco, James & Grace. Director and founder of Samantha's legacy launched in honor and in memory of her daughter Samantha on what would have been Samantha's 30th Birthday.

​

Alison has qualifications in mentor skills and has completed  Diplomas through HEFC courses in psychology and Sociology. Alison has had many successful careers throughout her life, including working as a barrister Clark at quayside Trinity Chambers. A job Alison thoroughly enjoyed and was very passionate about was that of a young person adviser at connections. Alison gave this job up to be the Guardian of Callum, Samantha's Son and has brought Callum up since the loss of his mother as a baby.

Alison is now self-employed, running a successful cleaning business while caring full time for Callum.

The youngest sister to Samantha and lee and daughter to Alison. Also founder and Director of Samantha's Legacy. Initially, Carly decided to organise a 'ball' in memory of her sister for her 30th birthday, with funds raised on the night to go to a charity of Callum's (Samantha's son)choice. However, the choice was made to launch Samantha's Legacy after the family continuously read of the rise in knife crime over the years.

Carly left school with 10 GCSEs at B's and C's and went on to complete her A-Levels while struggling with the tragic loss of her sister. Years later, Carly met Martin, and they soon began their family, now having two young children and happily married. 

Carly is now a Bachelor of Science in criminology & Sociology and plans for a career within the Northumbria Police Force.

Yvonne is a cousin to Lee, Samantha & Carly and has always played a significant role in the family. She has shown ongoing love and support through all the hard times and is known to make anyone smile with her humor.

​

Yvonne is highly committed​,,, with 18 years of good experience within the British Army. Unblemished professional conduct resulting in receiving a Commendation for outstanding work in operations. She has a track record of being a supportive and forward-thinking team member, skilled in working in culturally sensitive and challenging environments. On leaving the Army, Yvonne secured employment at Trinity Academy as a tutor, delivering construction vocation qualifications and later becoming part of the pastoral team offering social guidance to young people.

​

Yvonne is currently employed at Edge North East as a mentor engaging with young people who are presently involved in gang-related offenses, child criminal exploitation, including county lines, and anti-social behavior around the Northumbria area.

Carly was Samantha's closest friend, and since Samantha's tragic death, she has played a big part in Alison's, Carly's, and Callum's lives. She is Godmother to Callum and has become very close with Carly as they support each other through their grief. They were bridesmaids at each other's weddings and share a special connection that Samantha would be very proud of.

​

Carly is happily married and a loving mother to Beau and Adah. She works extremely hard in her home and work life, working for the very busy NHS as a fully qualified Adult Nurse.

The husband of Carly, once close friends with Samantha Martin, plays a significant role in support of the charity and the family. He supports all fundraising events, having run the Great North Run himself in Samantha's Memory several times and promoting Samantha's Legacy where and when he can.

​

Martin is a mechanical engineer working as a maintenance excellence coach facilitating maintenance work scopes for the Morecombe Hub offshore Blackpool locations. He currently works on a two-on and two-off rotation based in Aberdeen and is frequently away from home.

Mother of three, Tracey became friends with Alison in 2011, meeting through heir own personal tragic circumstances. Tracey lost her husband of  10 years to violent crime and shared a passion for change in our region. Victims together, both Alison and Tracey, have been able to support one another throughout the years, sharing their grief and holding each other up. Tracey has become a close friend to all the family and continuously shows her support for Samantha's legacy and all the family.

​

Tracey is a successful full-time chef after completing her NVQ level 3 catering and shows passion for working with others and helping others.

Hannah, Samanthas Cousin, has recently come on board to help with our social media platforms. She is our go-to person for all our tech support. 

Hannah is a mother to one and has a successful career working at the SAGE. She is committed and shares the passion we all do to help prevent others from such tragic circumstances.
